About Our Team

It takes a truly special horse to offer the heart and patience needed to support every rider. At GAIT, we are deeply committed to carefully selecting the right horses to ensure they meet the unique needs of our program.

Each horse in our program is carefully evaluated by PATH-certified instructors and equine experts to ensure they are both suitable and safe. This evaluation includes assessing their ground manners, conformation, soundness, and temperament, ensuring only the best candidates join our program.

Caring for our GAIT horses requires significant funding each year, and we invite you to consider supporting these cherished animals. Every donation, no matter the size, directly contributes to their well-being, covering expenses such as board, routine healthcare, farrier services, and emergency veterinary care.

SPONSOR A THERAPY HORSE

Donations over $100 will be recognized on the horse's bio as a valued donor. Sponsors contributing a full year of board ($3,000) will have their generosity celebrated with an engraved plaque placed on the horse's stall, featuring their name or business. Additionally, all donors contributing over $100 will be acknowledged on our website and select print materials, highlighting their impactful support.

Jackson

Donated to Green Acres by the Iredale family, Jackson is a beautiful buckskin with a gentle personality. Formally, he worked as a border patrol horse and is now greatly enjoying his retirement. With his previous training in high-stress environments, Jackson is perfectly equipped to provide a safe space for even the most timid of riders.
